Just in the local vicinity there are 12 fishing lochs, a shooting range, a sailing park, and the Cumbernauld Glen Wildlife Reserve. There are many scenic walks around the Slamannan Plateau, which is 200 feet above sea level, with views overlooking the Firth of Forth, and the Queensferry Bridge.

If you need food supplies, both Tesco and Asda deliver to the lodge, and there is a Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop in the village. There are also many great cycle routes around the locality.

Around Falkirk and Stirling:

There are many things to do near Falkirk, and in the city itself. The Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park is a great day out for the family. The stunning Kelpies, the Falkirk Wheel, and Callendar House are in the city of Falkirk.

In Stirling there is centuries of history, with Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, and numerous other great landmarks all around.

Edinburgh and Glasgow
